The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has registered a total of Forty-seven thousand, one hundred and ninety-five new voters in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise in Plateau.
Plateau INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Halilu Pai, announced this in Jos, while briefing newsmen.
Pai said Eleven thousand, three hundred and twenty-one applicants were rejected for multiple registrations.
He said as at March 19, a total of Two hundred and thirty-two thousand, two hundred and sixty-five people did their online pre-registration, saying the CVR would be suspended on March 22 to allow for display of claims and objections.
