The Federal Government, will be spending nine hundred and ninety nine million naira daily, to feed approximately ten million pupils, in the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, across the country.
The Team Lead, Aishatu Digil, disclosed this on Tuesday, at a stakeholders’ meeting on disbursement modalities for the review of cost of feeding in the programme in Abuja.
She said the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, got the approval of spending hundred naira per person daily, on the feeding programme.
According to her, nine point nine million pupils from primary one to three would now be fed daily for twenty days in a month.
