Indonesia’s General Election Commission has declared Prabowo Subianto, as the country’s eighth president.
Chairman of the Election Commission, Hasyim Asy’ari who made the announcement on Wednesday maintained that Prabowo and his running mate Gibran Raka had been selected to be the president and vice president.
The result was declared after appeals of two defeated presidential candidates concerning a dispute over presidential polls in February were rejected by the constitutional court.
