FG says no ransom was paid for release of kidnapped studens

The Federal Government says it did not pay any ransom to secure the release of the 287 school children kidnapped from Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, sated this shortly after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Information Minister noted that
the Federal Government welcomes any suggestions or measures that will help end insecurity in Nigeria.

He however warned that no individual is above the law as anybody that security agencies feel has made sensitive remarks will be summoned for questioning.

The Minister revealed that President Tinubu has charged security agencies to fish out those participating in criminal act and punish them.
