STATE GOVERNMENT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO OKADA BAN ON HIGHWAYS.

The State Government has affirmed it’s commitment to the proposed ban on motorcycles on highways in six local governments and nine Local Council Development Areas from first of June.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who stated this after the State security council meeting, held at the Lagos House, Ikeja, said the meeting was also to deliberate on modalities to put in place adequate security measures for the ongoing delegates and primary elections by various political parties, ahead of the Twenty, twenty-three general elections.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said the deliberations at the meeting was based on the two germane issues while the State government had embarked on advocacy on both Print and Broadcast media among others.

He also said all hands were on deck by the State Government and security agencies to maintain law and order in the state.
