Delta State Gov. Meets President Tinubu over death of military personnel

Delta State Governor Sheriff Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday, briefed President Bola Tinubu on the security situation in Okuoma community, where sixteen soldiers were killed last week.

Briefing State House Correspondents after, meeting with the President, Governor Obrevwori said the casualty figures and extent of damage to the community is still being collated.

He stressed that President Tinubu supports ongoing efforts at restoring peace in the locality, and equally condemned the killing of the soldiers.

The Delta State Governor, who was at Okuoma community on Monday, declined to give details of briefings received from the military adding that the focus should be the way forward and not to the past
