Odii Assumes Duty As New SMEDAN Director-General

The newly appointed Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria,(SMEDAN) Mr Charles ODII has assumed duty as the 6th Chief Executive of Agency.

Odii who was appointed last Friday by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a global enterprise development consultant with versatile experiences in entrepreneurship advancement

He is the founder of SME100Africa, a regional social enterprise platform that brings young African entrepreneurs together to leverage on windows of opportunities that could that assist them to develop their talent and succeed in their chosen enterprise.

Through his famous organisation, SME100Africa, the new SMEDAN DG has trained 11,205 young African entrepreneurs from 30;countries and engaged them in series on continental competitions which offered them global investment opportunities.

He has also injected over $500,000 into youths-led enterprises and facilitated about $1million investments for the growths of such businesses.

His global work experience covers, among others, impact investment, financial technology, health education, manufacturing, entertainment, aviation and fashion technology.

He sits at various boards as director, trustee and shareholders of commercial organisations.

The DG is an alumnus of the prestigious United States International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) for young global business leaders.

He holds a Bsc degree in management information system from Covenant University and an MSc in Marketing and Communication from Pan Atlantic University
