Governors of the 36 States have spoken in unison against the call by some elements for the imposition of an interim national government.
The Governors, under the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, faulted the decision by the Department of State Services, DSS, to only issue a statement but fail to arrest proponents of an interim government.
The communique, signed by the forum’s Chairman, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, was made available on Friday by the NGF secretariat.
The forum tasked the DSS to urgently apprehend and prosecute those behind the unconstitutional and aberrant proposition.
