GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU COMMISSIONS ROADS IN IKORODU.

The State Government has commissioned the rehabilitated two points five kilometre Oba Sekumade Road and the strategic section of TOS Benson road in Ikorodu Local Government area of the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who commissioned the projects restated his administration’s commitment to ensuring accelerated development in the state adding that he would soon perform the groundbreaking of the fourth Mainland bridge.

The Governor thanked the people for their support during elections and recalled that the Oba Sekumade road was initially conceived by the Federal Government to provide access to the Ikorodu lighter terminal, Ebute Ipakodo, Ikorodu town, Ibese, Igbogbo and other communities within Ikorodu division.

Earlier, his Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, Aramide Adeyoye, noted that the rehabilitation was informed by the various complaints from commuters on the condition of the road.

In their goodwill messages, Stakeholders which include lawmakers and royal fathers in the area thanked the Governor for fulfilling his promise but further asked that attention be paid to others roads such as Agric-Ishawo road among.
