The Executive Director of Yiaga Africa Samson Itodo has said that requires comprehensive political finance reform and management process to advance political accountability in election in Nigeria.
Itodo spoke on Thursday, while presenting the preliminary report on youth candidacy in the 2023 election in Nigeria, in Abuja.
According him, to secure electoral victory for youth candidates, political parties should provide technical and financial support to young male and female candidates during the campaign.
The Yiaga E.D noted that youth candidates will require technical support to adopt political organizing skills and improve knowledge election day operations.
Itodo also appealed to the media to prioritize coverage of youth candidates,
while encouraging the general public to support youth candidates by making financial donations to youth candidates with competence and capacity.
He also advocated that airtime should be provided to young male and female candidates to provide visibility for youth candidates and to improve their public perception.
