SOCIO-ECONOMIC RIGHTS, ACCOUNTABILITY PROJECT SUES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OVER MONEY SPENT ON REFINERY.

The President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has been sued over failure to probe one point four-eight trillion naira allegedly spent on maintaining the country’s four refineries between Twenty-fifteen and Twenty-twenty.

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP which sued the government believed the said amount of money was stolen, mismanaged or diverted into private pockets.

SERAP said government reportedly spent ten point two-three billion naira in June Twenty-twenty on three refineries that processed zero crude.
