PRESIDENT TINUBU ESTABLISHES PANEL TO PROBE SOCIAL INVESTMENT PROGRAMMES

President Bola Tinubu has established a special panel on social investment programmes.

The President decision follows the suspension of the four programmes under the National Social Investment Programmes Agency.

The panel will be led by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun.

Other members include the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Pate, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Malagi, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, and the Minister of State for Youth, Jamila Ibrahim.

The panel is tasked with conducting a comprehensive review and audit of the existing financial frameworks and policy guidelines of the programmes, with the goal to implement a total restructuring of their financial architecture.
