Reps call for urgent release of remaining 30 students of Federal University, Gusau

The House of Representatives has called on security operatives in the country to immediately secure the release of the remaining 30 female students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State who are still in the hands of their captors,

The call followed the adoption of a motion raised by Hon. Kabiru Ahmadu during matters of urgent national importance at plenary.

Hon. Ahmadu in leading the debate expressed worry over the fate of the remaining girls in the hands of these bandits. He also bemoaned the gruesome manner in which these bandits continue to terrorize citizens in the Northwest region.

Contributing to the debate, lawmakers called for prompt intervention of security agencies to prevent loss of lives in troubled parts of the country.

The House after further debate urged its relevant Committees to ensure compliance
