The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency says no stone will be left unturned in its bid to end plastic pollution and promote a circular economy culture in the state.

The General Manager, LASEPA, Dolapo Fasawe, stated this during the inauguration of the agency’s ‘Trash for Cash’ zonal office in the Surulere area of the state.

Fasawe said more attention should be paid to the dangers of plastic pollution, adding that it was high time Lagos State embraced a culture of circular economy of recycling plastics and other waste into raw materials.

The Deputy Political and Economic Section Chief of the United States Consulate General in Lagos, Kenise Hill, described the campaign as a commendable initiative that would help to address the menace of plastic pollution.
