The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, NUC, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed has announced his resignation from the commission after serving for seven years.
Abubakar made the announcement in Abuja, after approval of the Kogi State University, located in Kabba, Kogi West Senatorial district , as the third university in the state and the 62nd state university in Nigeria.
He said his resignation would allow him retire to his lecturing job at the Bayero University in Kano , from where he was appointed.
The NUC ES, assumed office as the Executive Secretary of the NUC in 2016. Before then, he was the vice – chancellor of Bayero University between 2010 to 2015.
