The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC says is determined to collaborate with security agencies to clamp down on illegal broadcasters in the country.
Director General of the Commission, Mallam Balarabe Illelah made this known at the presentation of licence ceremony to the newly approved broadcasting stations, in Abuja.
Illelah said an illegal broadcaster, is automatically undermining the security of Nigeria.
He stated that all illegal broadcasters will be handed over to prosecution, adding that the illegal operations has also been sabotaging the economy of Nigeria.
The Director General further urged the newly licensed media outlets to reciprocate the gesture by putting the license into use within the timeframe provided and act responsibly in accordance with the act.
Illelah charged them not to use the platform to truncate Nigeria democracy, adding that Excellent laws guidance broadcasted in the Nation pay attention to safeguarding the people of Nigeria.
The National Broadcasting Commission gave 67 Licences to newly qualified and screened media outlets, as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
