Lagos State Health Commissioner, Akin Abayomi has bagged a special recognition award at the 4th Physician of the Year Awards (POTY) ceremony held in Lagos.
The award which was in recognition of Abayomi’s contributions to the field of medicine was powered by the Premier Medical Systems; a data and digital health consulting organisation.
According to the award organizers, the POTY special recognition award was confered on him, in recognition of his unwavering dedication, service to the public and medical profession as well as the unique leadership style demonstrated in Lagos and beyond.
Speaking after receiving the award, the obviously elated Abayomi dedicated the award to the Lagos State Government, One Health Family and members of medical fraternity.
