The Social Democratic Party has charged Nigerians to elect a credible candidate as the next president of Nigeria in the forthcoming election.
The party advised Nigerians not to elect any president based on sentiment, either of religion or ethnicity.
The Campaign manager for SDP Solomon Dalung while addressing the media at a press conference on Friday , in Abuja, condemned the incidence of violence that he noted has characterized campaign of the so called Mega political party is a demonstration that violence is likely going to be a tendency in the 2023 general election.
He said the use of government asset to patronize and promote the candidate by the party in government is indeed an abuse of power and an attempt to trigger discontent among competing candidates.
Dalung posited that if such asset are available to presidential candidate whose party is in power then it should be available to all other candidates to make the election to be free and fair.
He noted that their method of engagement fundamentals differs from what is been employed by others.
The campaign manager however assured Nigerians that creating job opportunities will be very easy for the SDP, because their presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo is an entrepreneur who has employed a lot of people.
According to him, dealing with poverty requires the leader to be truthful, honest and just.
