Kenya’s President, William Ruto, is assuring of peace and stability in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Ruto spoke in Kinshasa, DR Congo’s capital, where he reportedly had bilateral talks with President Félix Tshisekedi.

More than one hundred and twenty armed groups operate across large swathes of eastern Congo.

Ruto said his country’s troops would do whatever it takes to bring stability to Congo.

Despite billions of dollars spent on one of the United Nations’ largest peacekeeping forces, Congo faces a myriad of insurgent groups including M23 rebels, which it accuses of supporting Rwanda.
