2023 General Election: Adebayo to Prioritize Women Empowerment, Inclusivity

Ahead of the 2023 general election the Social Democratic Party’s residential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo has assured Nigerians that if he is elected into office, his administration will give priority to women empowerment and inclusivity.

Adebayo while speaking at the opening of a 3-day conference with Presidential candidates of political parties with the theme “Good Governance for Better Nigeria” organized by the Nigerian women 4 Good governance on in Abuja said women must be fashioned into government if you want to have a government that will work in Nigeria.

He stated that any reasonable government would priotize the welfare of it’s citizens, especially Children and Women, adding that a government that want to empower families, have to empower women.

He noted that the organization he was running for many years before getting into politics was 80 to 85 percent of women who were managers.

He stressed that most problems confronting the nation would be solved only if families and women are empowered, maintaining that women know how to manage situations and care for things.

The President, Nigeria Women 4 Good Governance, Hajiya Abdullahi in her remarks explained that women are the largest voting Bloc in the country, hence the need to give them a chance to be part of the decision making process in the country.

She said that the conference will not be used to judge the presidential candidate but to give them an opportunity to reshape their policy documents to suit current realities.
