The Lagos State Government has commenced a training for officers in the fifty Seven Local Government and Local Development service in registry management among others.
Permanent Secretary, Local Government Establishments, Training and Pensions Office, Kikelomo Bolarinwa, stated this at the workshop held at the Public Service Staff Development Centre, Magodo.
According to Bolarinwa, registry is a big part of the success of Ministries, Departments and Agencies and those that operate registries have some constraints with the procedures involved, because if files are not readily available, it will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the various local governments.
Speaking at the event, the Acting Director of the Centre, Olufemi Osholaja, stated that registry procedures were the pillars on which public agencies operate.
