NDLEA INTERCEPTS PILLS, BOTTLES OF OPIOIDS AT LAGOS PORT.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted over thirty-one million pills of tramadol, and bottles of codeine-based syrup worth seventeen point nine billion naira at Tincan seaport in Lagos and the Port Harcourt Port Complex, Onne, Rivers state.

According to a statement by the Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi on Sunday,the seizures were made following intelligence processed by the agency on the movement of the shipments from their port of origin in India, leading to a demand for a one hundred percent joint examination of the watch-listed containers.

This, he said, was with the help of Nigerian Customs Service and other sister security agencies.
