The Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action (SPEC), Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Tuesday joined the Managing Director of the Infrastructure Corporation of Nigeria(InfraCorp), Dr. Lazarus Angbazo, and the Secretary of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen, Mrs. Lolade Abiola in a meeting.
The meeting which was held virtually with a high-level team from the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) aimed to detail Nigeria’s green industrial zone, Evergreen City, and discuss present and future collaboration toward Nigeria’s achievement of value chain localization in renewable energy and climate adaptation technologies.
In a brief by made available to State House Correspondents by the SPEC, the teams agreed to a 14-day deadline to conclude a set of next steps in advancing the collaboration forward.
He expressed satisfaction that President Bola Tinubu’s green industrial vision is coming to life one step at a time.
