The Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria (DICAN) has congratulated the Australian, Jamaican and Romania High Commissioners and Ambassador to Nigeria.
The Congratulatory Message was contained in a statement jointly singed by DICAN Chairman, Comrade Idehai Frederick and the General Secretary, Emeka Amakor in Abuja.
In the statement, the Association also calls for partnership with the newly-appointed Ambassadors and the Diplomatic Community for quality media reporting that will further enhance the existing economic, cultural, military, education, energy and diplomatic relations with Nigeria.
DICAN further assured the High Commissioner of Jamaica, Lincoln Downer; High Commissioner of Australia, Leilani Bin-Juda and the Ambassador of Romania, Florin Talapan of its support in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and relevant laws to ensure that they succeed in their endeavours.
The Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria, however, urged the newly appointed Ambassadors and the entire Diplomatic Community in Nigeria to embrace the 4D policy for enhanced mutual relationships.
The Association therefore appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar who was recently Conferred DICAN’s GRAND PATRON, for the nation’s foreign policy direction anchored on democracy, development, demography and diaspora (4D).
Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria (DICAN) is an umbrella body of over fifty (50) Correspondents and Editors from the Electronic, Print, New Media (Online) and Wire Services officially assigned by their Media Organisations to report activities on the diplomatic beat.
