LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY INTERCEPTS HEROIN WORTH FOUR POINT FIVE BILLION NAIRA.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has intercepted twenty blocks of heroin, with street value of over four point five billion naira at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

A statement by the Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said that the consignment, which were concealed in packs of Nestle Cerelac baby food, weighed 23.55 kilograms.

He said the consignment came from Johannesburg, South Africa, on board South African Airways flight on Wednesday, twenty-ninth of June.
