Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action SPEC, Ajuri Ngelale says the Presidential Committee on Climate Action and Green Economic Solutions is working to surgically achieve the Nationally Determined Contributions(NDC)framework by finetuning a project-driven and business-tailored approach to Nigeria’s cross-sectoral decarbonization and green industrial efforts for the economic uplift of Nigerian citizens.

The SPEC revealed this in a brief when he welcomed the Country Facilitator for NDC Partnerships, Mr. Huzi Mshelia and his team, alongside the National Coumcil on Climate Changed NCCC leadership to concretize plans to expeditiously and carefully update and prepare the very crucial NDC 3.0 for Nigeria.

The brief reads in part “Additionally, we are working to surgically achieve the NDC framework by finetuning a00 project-driven and business-tailored approach to our cross-sectoral decarbonization and green industrial efforts for the economic uplift of Nigerian citizens.

“Later on Friday night, I hosted an insightful virtual call with the global leadership of Laconic Infrastructure Partners, owners of Sadar NCM, led by Andrew Gilmour, which functions to provide a structured information interchange required for carbon markets to function properly at scale”.

The SPEC further posited that “Nigeria is well-positioned to thrive in the markets of the future. But what we do today is critical. I have no doubt that our country will succeed.”
