President Tinubu Restates Commitment to fixing economic challenges of Nigeria


President Bola Tinubu has restated his commitment to fixing the economic challenges confronting the nation, affirming that bravery, courage, perseverance and consistency is the panacea a leader requires to move the country out of problems

Addressing Afenifere leaders, in Akure, Ondo State, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that he would restructure Nigeria for fiscal and true federalism.

He explained that he has been working to refashion the government and reengineer the nation’s finances in a way that woul eliminate marauders and smugglers who have been selfishly draining the economy of the nation.Q!

Acknowledging the challenges of the economy, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to invest in agriculture and promote local production.

President assured Nigerians that he would restructure the federation in proper and lasting manner.

He urged Nigerians to resolve to support the present administration to build the nation, assuring that Nigeria will survive the present economic challenges.

“I have listened to the message that you have given me, the assignment, bold assignment for restructuring of Nigeria for fiscal and true federalism, the philosophy of what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

“We are going to carry it out but what I am saying is that we need baby steps so that we don’t fall and break our bones. Baby steps. You taught us not to look backwards, not to get despondent, I don’t blame anybody. Bravery, courage, perseverance, consistency is the solution an individual need to lead a country out of problems.

“Tell our people we go back to the farm, feed ourselves, grow what we eat, don’t depend on other people. Nigeria can’t continue to have it all the time, it has come to the stage where we will that we look straight at each other and resolve to build this country for all of us.

“we are not looking back. Nigeria will survive this, there is a bright light at the end of this tunnel. I am sure pa Olufalae knows this, we follow some of his philosophy in economics, progressive economic programme.

” I just came to assure you and the rest of our group to remain relaxed. Abuse doesn’t do anything to me, I asked for the job, am not complaining, i campaigned for it, I danced for it, i prayed for it, i got it I take the responsibility.

“We are going to turn the twists and bends and we are going to strengthen the road of prosperity and hope of Nigeria. Just continue to pray for us,” President Tinubu said.

Speaking on behalf of the Afenifere leaders, former secretary to the government of the federation, Olu Falae urged the President to work on the nation’s economy to ease the pain of economic hardship.
