COURT RESTRAINS RIVERS LAWMAKERS FROM IMPEACHING GOVERNOR.

Rivers State High Court of Isiokpo Division has issued an interim injunction, restraining the state House of Assembly and the Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, from impeaching Governor Siminalaye Fubara.

It ordered all parties to restrain from interfering with the Governor’s duties , pending the hearing and determination of the Motion which has been adjourned to 14th November.

The Lawmakers had accused the Governor of gross misconduct, calling for his impeachment and subsequently leading to an attack on the State House Assembly Complex by hoodlums.
