United State President, Joe Biden, has promised to provide advanced air systems to Ukraine, after Russia launched missiles against multiple cities in the country, including the capital Kyiv.
Biden made the pledge in a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, ahead of an emergency meeting of the Group of Seven.
The meeting will discuss support for Ukraine and how to hold Russia “accountable” for the attacks.
Biden said the US and its allies as well as partners would continue to hold Russia accountable for its war crimes and atrocities, and also provide Ukraine with security, economic, and humanitarian assistance.
